Inertia bullet puller

I managed to shatter the end cap on my bullet puller whilst trying to extract a 90gr 25/303 bullet. There's one on auction at Gun City for a reasonable start price, but a bloke Stevie68 won't let me buy it. He must have broken his today too.

I bought one from AliExpress for about $20 all up because Gunworks didn't have any in stock at the time, works good. Could get a few for less than the price they are here, shipping time sucks though

Alixpress isn't what it used to be. The best I could find today was around $9 cheaper than here. Postage + Tax and the hit and miss delivery times all add up.

My last 2 Ali orders have got to NZ in 3 days, then took 6 days from Auckland to Chch..............:wtfsmilie:

Can you buy parts for a bullet puller or do you have to just buy the whole thing? I am now getting used to being able to buy stuff on ebay or tm from the UK , inc freight( for example .....birchwood casey walnut stock stain ) for less than the local shop . Sure it takes a bit longer but.....

Aussie Ebay and Amazon are pretty good these days too.

so you need the plastic threaded bit???? that holds shell holder and round into hammer like bit??? or hammer bit....I have spare threaded bit.

Sounds great, yes just the plastic threaded bit. It broke into three pieces, still haven't found the case yet or the plastic shell holder.

I have a Hornady inertia bullet puller you are welcome to have - I am heading away soon but if you wanted to DM me the week beginning 24/12 with your address I will pop it in the mail.

I have gone to the cam lock bullet puller so the inertia one is surplus to requirements.

I made one from 3/4" PVC pipe: one t-section, two end caps and one 1-foot length for the handle.

At the time I didn't have a reloading press, now I'd have gone for the adapted pliers retaining the bullet as you withdraw it. Not as damage free as the kinetic pullers, but less messy.

Just saying you can use your shell holder when extracting and it softens the "blow". Makes extraction much easier. 2C.

Something very practical to remove the bullet from a cartridge is the chuck of a hand drill.
The cartridge is placed in the loading press, the lever is lowered until the bullet comes out of the hole where the die is screwed. The bullet is taken with the chuck, as if the bullet were a wick, the lever is squeezed and gently lifted until the bullet is removed from the cartridge.
