Final check 168gn Amax over 50gn RE17. Cold day. Quick 3 shots at 100 yards. Drop scope 2 clicks. Quick 3 shots at 400y. Very happy. Scope is VX5 2-10x.

Just tested the new CDS turret on the VX5 2-10. Just as well it went OK as yesterday posted the MOA factory turret to a forum member.
Dialed 600y on the scope and my son smoked the gong off a jacket rest as forgot the bipod. I missed (puff of wind... [emoji6])

Went for a Quick Look this morning with 4 rounds. Didn’t see anything (after seeing a couple of fallow go into the forest through a fence like it wasn’t there) so put a couple of shots on the 400y gong of the mountain gear bipod.
Then saw a group hiding in the scrub. First one 191 yards and neck shot. Next one 250 yards and shot base neck/shoulder (was aiming at shoulder this but was a hurried shot and bit of a breeze).
Fat and heavy, had to call the boy to help me hang up in the chiller.
