I have been getting good results from 150grn hornady sst and 150gr barnes ttsx projectiles with hodgon 335 and adi 2206h powder.I prefer the hodgon powder as it is not so much of a compression load that the adi powder gives with its bulkier density.I leave the oal length as long as i can get with the magazine.

I have one but it is 7mm08 so probably not much help.

    I'm using:

    154gr SST
    Lapua .308 brass
    CCI BR2
    40.5gr 2208

Averaging 2580fps out of the 20" tube. Shoots tight and have shot it out to 500m on paper and steel with good success. I plan on switching to Winchester brass and 2206H.

I used to use factory hornady match super performance 168gr bthp through my 16" lar 8 when i had it. Shot moa and better and was a consistant gong ringer on 12" circles at 700 meters. 900 yards was the furtherest i had pushed it out to. Chronyed out at 2550fps. Wish i still had it.

45gr of 2208 in Lapua brass and Nosler 168gr CC is what mine eats and puts them into little groups

The CHS and beat up rims I get with that load makes it a real chore to prime. I will run an adjustable block and 2206H to try settle it down.

Ha, the damage to your brass is nothin compared to how my Vepr spits my .308 brass out!
