    Wink

I have used the Dillon product for Pistol cases for years. Just running out my first bottle so thks for that.

I don't use it any more for bottle neck rifle cases as I found it too easy to get too much on the shoulder causing dimples. Tried various products and settled on the Lee stuff in the tube. Amazing that. If anyone has a recipe for the Lee product please post. I once read/heard that it is a commercial product supplied to brass formers in large barrels. If anyone has a recently emptied barrel I'd be happy to scrape out the leavings :-)

Mentioning lanolin got me thinking I had some in the shed, went and had a look and yes there is a pot weighs about 520 grams...container is stuffed from being of poor quality plastic made 40 years ago...I bought it originally to increase warmth in socks by mixing with white spirits (petrol) and soaking socks in it and then allowing it to evaporate....anyway 520 grams is probably more than someone would use to make case lube and I think it melts at low temperature so could decant some off if anyone wants to make some lube.

There's heaps of recipes and methods on the net.
One of them mentions standing the container of lanolin in a bowl of hot water for a while to make it easier to pour.
Mixing ratios seem to vary around 1:10 1:12.
