Good spotting @Shootm.
Another reloading would have seen that ending in tears that's for sure.
Cheers
Pete
Good thing it's only a teensy round with fuck all powder in it eh :o
That was close mate. @Pop Shot flashbacks haha
Good spotting, iv had a 303 one of unknown history separate fully on me, got off lightly.
How many firings and what is your sizing procedure ?
Bloody crack up......... that's a play on words team
It's second hand brass I got given. I've loaded it twice, only neck size. Just the Scottish in me coming out, always something else to spend money on. Bought as a gong gun but it's coming in handy for other things too.

Second hand brass and generic wind it down till it touches the shell holder die instructions have a lot to answer for especially with rimmed/belted cases.
Case head seperation just shouldn't happen if everything is set right, split necks or loose primers should come before.
Loose primers , so you notice that when putting in new ones ? I did a few the other day they seemed to go in pretty easy
Why don't more people use a bent wire probe down their cases to check for this???
Impending separation is easy to detect way ahead of visible external cracking at the web junction.
Just had a closer look at more if the same head stamp and three more look like they had a dull ring. Put a bit of wire inside and can feel a crack forming. Have biffed the lot.
Will buy some new that will sort it.
A double belted Rem mag ! You wildcatter you!
A multi-tasker, @Shootm. You are soo-o-o-o fukn lucky!!!
This picture reminded me of one I had, I kept it as a souvenir / reminder. It was a case seperation from a 243 in a savage 99 E.
Shooting off the truck bonnet at some goats ... heard the case ( rim) go tinkle tinkle across the hood. Tried to lever in another round and couldnt understand for a while why it wouldnt fit!
Would have been about 1980 ...... I had no idea that there was a limit to the number of times a case could be fired.
