Measure the fired case neck close to the shoulder as this is often a little larger. In the past I have necked down .30-06 to .270 Win. .308 to 7 mm-08 and .270 to 6.5-06 and neck turning has not been needed. The .270 WSM case will chamber and fire in the .300 WSM and although not dangerous is not recommended. Just don't expect to hit anything.

Check the neck wall thickness once resized, optimum is 0.135 inch
I would say you need to trim length
