It's cool how the deluxe cutter chamfers and deburrs as it cuts. A cool idea, hopefully Lee executes it well.

It looks like it has a design flaw, where does the swarf go? I bet after ten or twenty cases bits of swarf fall back down the neck hole as you are "chambering" brass into the sleeve, if filings jammed against the brass shoulder or body then your brass would protrude less towards the cutter and end up at a longer trimmed length.

I could be wrong but it looks to have very little space to hold the "trimmings"

Would the swarf not fall down once you lower the case ? Found a reference on another forum where they call the black plastic ring below the die a "chip catcher"

Yes it will fall down as you lower the case, but it will also fall at any time, including as you are raising the case into the sleeve.

To slow. The Simplex takes a lot of beating when there is a big pile of brass.

Looks a good tool and it isnt an arm and a leg either. So I went looking at sinclair's, no joy, but I did find this...

Lee Decapping Die | Sinclair Intl

Personally I'd rather simply de-prime and then ultrasonic clean and then neck, so for $11 I get that as an option...

What stops the case turning in the shell holder? If it is pressure on the shoulder in the die as it looks in the drawing OAL will vary with any sizing.
