    This new fangled catridge

So I finally thought I would jump on the band wagon and see what al the fuss is about, I bought a 7mm08.
What powder do people use and what bullet weights?
I already have an 7mmRM but I think I wouldn't want to send such a meaty pill with this little thing.
So, 7mm08, what powder and pills?
    Cheers,
    William

I'd start with getting some a "Harden Up Pills" for all the ribbing your about to get.

you'll love it mate it will push a 162 a-max reassembly well for long range if you wish but for hunting I like the 120gn nosler ballistic tip
thers only one reason everyone has them and that's because its a great cal that works if it didn't work no one would have them 7mm-08 is the new 308 as in everyone has them
308 works there's no question it dose its been used for years..... but 7mm-08,260,25-08,243 are all better cals and nicer to shoot in my honest opinon

Interesting, I already have a 308 and a 243 so I thought it was about time to try the 708. With those lighter 120gn pills, what so of velocity do you get from them? I have a 20inch barrel on this one btw

VC - was it even even a commercial offering, did it ever progress beyond the wildcat stage?

lol out of a 20 INCH it will be pretty loud I would suggest a suppressor anyway who would have an unsuppressed hunting rifle anyway that's one of the reasons im wanting to get rid of my 6mm or change it I've been hunting with that but my ears ring for like 3 days afterwards im 24 years old and my ears need to last at least another 50 years (touch wood) so I need to look after them so from now on my hunting rifles are all going to be suppressed unless its a target gun cos plugs are in on the range so no need

If you fire heaps of shots really really fast and then stick the barrel in a bucket full of milk then throw in some coffee, hey presto latte

All those with dogs waiting no longer fear death. Those with many dogs waiting even welcome it in it's time.
