It reads in fps I don't think it can be changed
Oh bugger! I went through heaps of round the other day and all the readouts were only 3 digits long, so I assumed it was in metres per second. Any ideas anyone?
How far away from the muzzle was it located?
Shooting roughly down the middle?
Yup pretty, pretty much down the middle. Someone told me that you had to shot above the 2 windows at the front and back of the chrony.
I'm not sure how far from the muzzle it was. I suppose I should look at the instructions again to see if there is a set distance.
@Kudu You are shooting through the gap between the chronograph and the sun shades ?
ie through the window not over it
So who was next on the list for the Chrony??
Did you get it working?@kudu
Il have it back please @Kudu
What trouble are u having with your reloading?
No worries @muka88 just PM me your address and I'll get it sent.
With my reloading I was being extra careful weighing my powder weights. Like putting in one pellet of powder to get to my weight using a beam scale and then double checking each charge with an electronic scale. Still when I checked the loads through the chrony I was getting a deviation of at times 150 - 200fps!! So I gave up, because as you would expect it was not consistent to shoot. And I have heard of people testing factory ammo and getting a deviation of 25fps. So I thought what is the point?
@kutu i was having the same issue with big spreads on that chrony ,it may not be you i was getting 200 fps spread on premium factory ammo.
That thing has seen some action probably only good as a guide.
I found the first shot of each string would read way slow
received thanks @ kudu
