Which pill
Recently acquired a new rifle in 222 remington well new to me
And want to try and get the best out of it I have already put a packet of factory ammo down her with good Results for factory ammo but will reload for it from now own
The rifle is 1-14 twist as normal for an older 222
And is a rear locking action so might not be able to push it too hard (time will tell)
Im wanting to try a 52gn match pill sierra smk hornady hpbt match and nosler custom competition
Are all within $1 of each other per 100 in price
So just wondering which one to try
Cheers in advance

You may need to try a few different ones to find which shoots best but when I had 222 Rem I found most were good shooters. I loaded mostly hunting type bullets back then, Win 50gr, Hornady 50 gr, Speer and Sierra and all worked well. Factory ammo we used Sako and Norma and several others. (Culling goats and a few deer)
If you are looking for a good deer bullet maybe a Barnes 50 or 53gr could be the go, there are plenty out there to try.

Yeah not really planning on setting it up for hunting I have plenty of rifles for that
Possibly a bunny or terkey so happy setting it up for target shooting or shooting small critters rather than hunting as such

I use 50gn vmax in mine good for smaller fluffy furry and feathery

Wonder if the 53gn will Stabilise in the 1-14 twist?

52grn speer hp will...and takes care of whatever you poke it at/into...the 50 grn hp does too.

50 gr V Max are dynamite on small game, brown and furry to muss in an instant. Used them in a Brno 222 Fox for a few years on rabbits they were lethal.

and better still if you buy the puke green zombie ones they are dirt cheap.....
