Powders for 270WSM
Running 150 gr Berger VLD.
Got up to book max with 2213sc (60gr), no pressure signs to 2850. Pushed slightly past book max for no real increase in velocity.
Had a search and some guys are running 2217 or even 2225 or Retumbo.
Anyone got experience running these in the wsm? Rifles a t3.

me and others ran retumbo, around 70g with 150g projectile for around 3000 fps at least....
i have some retumbo for sale

As ANTSMAN says, Retumbo or 2225 which is the same powder works very well with 150's. Depending upon which book your reading from 70-71 grains is max but start low and work up.
Reloader 22 also works very well but is a bit like rocking horse shit at the moment.

When I changed from 140s to 150s I stopped using 2213sc and used 2225 like others.
I believe it is a great "heavy for calibre" powder.
My best accuracy came just below 3000fps. Can't recall load but can check later

Thanks for the replys. Will give 2225 a go. @ANTSMAN is powder all good to ship though?

Yup, Retumbo/2225 should get it done. I was running 71gr in mine and getting around 3100fps. Form a factory rem 700 with mag primers. But work up checking for pressure of cause.

With my 270wsm t3 I used 69gr of ar2225 with a 150gr nosler bt. Had them going 3000fps and bloody accurate and never had a deer not drop on the spot.
