On checking my primer situation this morning I found a full box of 1,000 Federal Premium LR Match primers plus 2x full 100 trays and a part tray with about 80 primers of the same. All these are surplus to my requirements. I would be willing to sell them at $10 per tray (at 2x trays per person) plus $6 postage to forum members to help them out who genuinely need some.

My dilemma is, I don't want to them to fall into the hands of anyone who wouldn't think twice about on selling them at some rip-off price or who also have some already and just want to stock up. It's a pain in the butt posting them, but I'll do it for those that have none. I'll give it some more thought so please don't message me in the meantime.

I also have some Fiocchi LR primers which I'll put in the F/S section now.

If the RWS primer order being mentioned is the Beretta order , then there are some issues around organizing shipping . So don't rely on them just yet .

I usually get my 22 ammo off Shooting Stuff. Unfortunately they will not have an ammo shipment in the near future.
The reason for this is the recent acquisition of Ruag's ammo group by Beretta. The RWS ammo Shooting Stuff had on order is unable to be invoiced yet by Beretta so no order for Shooting Stuff. Sounds shambolic. That left SS with only their Eley shipment but that is also now canned as it wasn't economical to just ship the Eley portion given it would have shared the same container.

Now, does that also effect getting RWS primers here, I don't know.

My understanding is primer production is being increased by converting the rimfire production lines to produce primers.

No euro rimfire ammo is coming this way for now so hard to see euro primers coming this way. There has been RP and CCI come in here recently at $200/1000 but selling out quickly.

Nothing on the shelves in between.

The instability in Israel/Palestine, Sudan and a few other places like India definitely won't be helping our causes. Ukraine by itself is basically consuming the entire sporting production for the planet for a year in what, a week? I'm thinking I need to change my Kiwisaver provider away from one that's anti arms producers as they are the new black as it were.

A massive difference. Primers up 1000% in a couple years. Just saying, your comment is anaemic.

Thing is it should be heavily discouraged. Because the retailers inflate the prices on new stock. Eg. every where else in the world it will be 150-200nzd equivalent for 1000 primers. Here it will be 250-350 maybe more. For no other reason than profit

But if I didn't have to pay a stupid price for rl26, I would of just let the primers go for what they cost me.
You put up some Winchester primers the other day with a buy now of $80/tray. Please don't pretend you aren't partial to a bit of profiteering.

of course i did, With a start price of 24 per tray which is what they cost me. I had to play the supply and demand game and brought 8lb of rl26 for 1700 bux off trade me. But it is what it is really, My comment an my quoted response is fair game and explains as much as i need to explain. Im living in a little bit of a low income at the moment, and supply and demand will help me to get the other items i need at supply and demand prices. about 8 months ago, I even tried to give away some primers... no one wanted to pay the shipping for them at the time. they were also winchester wlr

I think many people that call others greedy are just envious. Which is the same thing really...

People can charge what they want for stuff they want to sell, and people can decide IF they want to buy at that price. I see plenty of primers that are put up at too ridiculous prices to remain unsold. So the market still does work. And those people that bought plenty of primers 2 years ago and selling them at a plus now are ensuring that there still are primers available if one absolutely needs them.

Maybe those people that perpetually bitch and moan could spend their energy in importing stuff on their own instead? Not just primers... They then might at least get a more realistic feeling of what it costs to get stuff into this country...

I hope the people that bought to many primers and can see a quick buck run themselves out and have to pay an extortionate price!
