    If you have a wooden stock which is well made and you don't want to spoil the lines with a stock pack/cheek riser thingy just to store ammo, then a cartridge trap is your answer:

    These are still really popular on the continent (known as 'Schaftmagazin') but unfortunately the metalwork and in-letting for a full custom job as pictured above will cost the same as a cheap rifle

    I've handled an custom made Westly Richards Mauser type rifle with this installed, was really slick and did not rattle at all. Then again a £50k+ rifle should be perfect!

    I'll post up a 'common man' variation on this which is a part of my ongoing Sako Vixen project (don't worry I won't ruin it, promise!)
