Had this turn up for my 260 today. Anything to watch out for or just screw it in and get busy?
Got the VLD seater one to use with the 143+147 ELDs, aint bergers but slippery enough so should be ok?

Got that bit on a couple of my std Redding seating dies. Obviously need to set it up to your current seating depth and then go. Bloody nice wee bit that transforms the die and makes it real easy to try different seating depths. Probabaly not so useful once you determine a good depth.
I use one seating die for my 2 Hornets which have different projectiles and seating depths. Need to record settings. Dial a prayer.

With the stem out of the die ...mate it up to a projectile and see where it bears. Maybe soot it with a match.

When you're taking the Measurement from a loaded cartridge be gentle as' you turn it down to just touch the projectile, There's enough leverage in the dial to push the bullet down into the case to a Shorter OAL.
I've found it very handy when changing between loads with different seating depths, A mate uses my dies but for some reason likes a different OAL to me. No dramas☺

Nice!! Got one coming for my 6.5. Just want a die that will help seat the bullet straight! This will do it and they are optimised for modern pointy bullets :)Quote:
