I've got an old battered vixen .222, its shoots well with 50-55 gr pretty much anything, I don't take it deer stalking, very often any more, but have shot hundreds of deer with Normer and Sako 53-55gr ammo, I got supplies to reload, but keep getting given, a few boxes of ammo, from old timer's, so haven't needed to yet.
Took a bad fall in the Rauhine's, with the rifle 30 years back, beat myself up pretty bad, and broke rifle stock, chipped scope etc, patched up stock, and ordered a new one, rifle didn't shoot well with new stock, so back in old and carried on,
