Combine that with Rusa's 124gr round nose projectiles and you'll be a A grade shooter in no time.

I currently use federal SP primers mostly because I have lots of them

    What he said.

The Frontier 124grain CMJ bullets from Rusa and Belmont Action Pistol (Use the data on Belmont's website or the same data as Winchester Action Pistol) and whatever primers you can get in bulk.

Minimum power factor for IPSC is 125. That's 1008fps for a 124 grain bullet. You want a power factor of around 130 -135 which is 1050 - 1090fps.

Remember, power factor is the absolute minimum. Not a target.

Don't be like the guy who turned up at the IPSC Nationals, didn't make power factor on the chronograph stage and got a zero score for the whole competition. As did his wife.

I use vit 320N in my .40 but no where near 14 grns. 😆 (suspect a typo and you mean 4?)
I reach power factor with 4.5grs and a 210gr cast bullet.

    This is correct 4 grains.

My minor load for my Shadow is 5.2grs Belmont Action Powder 124gr Rusa plated projectiles.

Power factor is a shade over 129 in my gun and that's Probally a tad low for competition as mentioned above

I'm shooting 4.0gr Titegroup and 124gr Rusa flat nose, Winchester sp primer. Getting around 1100fps and about 130 power factor. Shoots nicely in my Shadow.

@stug that Titegroup load is very very nice, I ran a can of it in my Shadow too but kept looking for cheaper powders, @P38 Yeah that's my current shadow load too, and I run about 6.2gr in my Czechmate. Is below major but I don't like to thrash my gun for club shoots.
The thing that I picked up with 9mm loads is the dramatic difference that comes from OAL changes, you can fine tune the feel and velocity by playing around

I run Winchester Super Field as I can use it in both 9mm and .40, although it's a bit harder to find than titegroup or the ADI varieties.

Guys, been offered a Lee pro1000 for free but with "some" fixing to do, I passed it for now but I am looking for a Dillon 550 or 650 in a reasonable price and available in NZ, can be new or used.
    Loading 9mm.

    Cheers.

Don't overlook the Hornady lock n load ap either. Mine took a little fine tuning but runs like a dream, pro1000 can be made to run really well too but takes a lot more fiddling

Don't fuck around, just get a 650, with case feeder. Don't need all the other accessories (a Mr Bullet feeder would be exception - it's on my list to buy).

Find someone in your club with a Dillon 550 and get them to teach you how to use it. Take your own components to load your own ammo while you're being taught.

Then load up enough ammo to last you for a few weeks until you get a Dillon of your own delivered.

Nothing wrong with airsoft replica Cr Speed mag holders from eBay, and can buy 4 for the price of 1 genuine one

The Lee pro1000 have loaded bucket loads of 9mm parts are cheap too.

Free is a very good price one I'd be hard pressed to turn down

Check out Titan reloading for more reasonably priced parts
