Reloading basics
Hi guys, new to the forum, and about to be new to reloading.
I have purchased an RCBS rockchucker kit and a set of redding deluxe dies. I intend to load 143 eldx with lapua brass in my 260. I'm in no rush to get started as I want to do this right. What are some 'must reads' I should look at prior to getting underway?
Located in Christchurch.
Cheers in advance

Nick Harvey's Practical Guide to Reloading is a good book worth investing in.
Welcome to the forum.

See if you can get someone down there to show you on your own set up. I asked a local here and gave him some of my favorite beers for his troubles. He hasn't stopped whinging since :D Somme people habe no taste

Yeah mate that'll be the best way, but I want to swat up first so I know what I'm watching. Cheers for the replays so far

I would recommend you buy a copy of Nathan Forsters (Terminal Ballistics) guide to reloading - best $50 you'll ever spend.

Welcome Twosixty. You have the right caliber there mate, you should fit in nicely here among the 6.5 crowd :)

The Hornady reloading manual has a good bit of reading at the start before the load data. Other manual's might too.

Id personally watch rather than read, youtube has some really good instructional vids. Nothing like seeing it for me.
Also you are starting on a sweet load, i brew the same, fed 215 primers and ar2209 powder.
Good luck mate, you'll be hooked in no time

Watch ( im with gibo on this one) and read at least 20 different sources and take the consensus for a start.
I try and reduce any advice back to basic principles, ie why are they doing that. It seems to me that some people are either missing big accuracy gains or go to far for no real improvement. All depends on how much you value your time for reward.
And 6.5 is where it's at :)

Yep, I found you tube helpful for case prep and how to set up dies...I just followed the load data for basic loads...I got a little hung up on on OAL and bullet jump. My basic loads shoot an inch and load development stopped there.
Someone showing you will save time and avoid buying stuff that doesn't work so well.
