    Remington corelockt miss shapen

As per title, picked up a few boxes in 308. The tips of the projectiles look pretty crappy to me. Hard to imagine they can be accurate. Anyone had issues?

the latest version have basically no exposed lead down sides of projectile...just in the wide tip...they have always worked fine...

The tip of the bullet isn’t actually too important believe it or not as long as it’s not physically bent if it’s only damage to the soft points
    Don’t worry to much

If you’re unsure just pick 3 particularly bad ones and go and shoot a group if they shoot fine who cares what they look like

    Its a corelockt.
Being a misshapen brick comes with the territory.
Just go shoot it, won't matter, the deer won't know the difference.

Cheers all. I have shot them, groups were ok. It’s just hard to get your head around something flying well when it’s not symmetrical.

I had noticed the same thing in the past. I just tidied up the tip using a pencil sharpener. I don't think it made any difference but it made me feel better

    Long time coreloct user here
Had some really junk bullets over the years all of them have killed or had the ability to kill deer meaning they were accurate and fell into the group
If you are shooting father than 300 change bullets
At normal hunting distance inside 300 (normally a hell of alot closer than that!!)
    They are brilliant

It is the base you have to worry about if that is damaged they are very inaccurate.

Bent or misshapen tips on bullets work pretty much like the paddle on a Directional Boring Machine. While it's being spun and pushed, it goes straight. When it's just pushed, it changes direction.

10MRT shooters do it 60 times, in two directions and at two speeds.
