    Rings on projectiles

I am getting rings/ marks around my projectiles when I seat them. What would cause this? Think I have seen a post on this before but I cant find it. They are easy enough to seat and I dont have any other problems. Dont think it will do any harm any way but just like to know. Using rcbs seating die in 300wsm and vld hunting bullets usually

F*ck Me! Never seen that before VC

Apart from the shit focus of the subject in the photo there appears to be something terribly wrong with the shape of your projectile.

    What caused that?

Did it improve the projectiles performance?

    Cheers

You just need to adapt your die with a seater that is made for VLDs

Or you can just forget about it and go shoot em at something tastey .... those scratches wont make any difference to the performance.

Thats what happens when you seat 105 amaxes into necked down to 243 308 brass with a standard lyman 243 seating die.
    Awesome neck tension
2 Minuits in the lathe fixed that, shape seater to suit pill

I didnt try them on game but no difference at 100y
