Hi guys, am reloading some 7-08 ammo for a young fella and the specs I have been given for using the 139 SST's are for a 72.7 c.o.a.l. Now that looks mighty short for that projectile, cannelure is way inside the case. Its for a bog standard Remington SPS short action. Anybody know what max cartridge length I can have to fit that mag?
Check again. I'm loading mates rifle @2.81 or 71.3mm and the cannelure is exposed

my digital ones are always playing up and at work they only seem to last 2 years. have gone back an old style one's at work,
still use a digital one at home for reloading as I struggle to read past 0.025 increments on the old style ones. while I can read to 0.1mm easily in the metric side.
Still opften need to double check the measurements on my digital at home as its common for it to jump 5 or 10mm if i move it too fast.
