In my tikka (same barrel as yours) I jump 0.052" to the lands for pretty damn good accuracy - with 72gn 2217

I use this load in my Tikka T3 7mm RM
    Norma brass
162gn Amax just touching lands 2.728" B.T.O (my comparator)
    75.0gns x 2225 powder
    Fed 215GM primer
    Average 3070fps (9fps E.S) 3063 to 3071fps

As always, use at your own risk

65 grains of 2213 SC with the 162gr A-Max out of my Rem 700 gets around 3000fps in a 24 inch barrel. Work up to this load as it is above the max in the ADI reloading manual, works fine in my rifle.

    I'm only using 69 grains of 2217 with the A-Max out of a 24" barrel....perhaps I'm a little too cautious?? I'm dialling 1.7mils at 500 metres....how does that compare to others?

Well, 69.5gn of 2217 give me 2900 average velocity with 162 Amaxs with Winchester super X and Remington brass, primer is Federal 215M GM. It varies 50-80ft/sec depending on temperature out of my Tikka with 24"barrel, 73.5gn of ADI2225 give me 3080ft/sec average with Sierra 168gn Match King and 3120ft/sec with 162gn Amax.
Some of these loads are very mild but work for me, best to work your loads and decide what works better for you. Anything over 71gn of 2217 and 74gn of 2225 start get pressure signs on my Tikka.
