    Shipping powder and ammo south?

Whats the story with sending powder and ammo from the North Island to the South?

I'm relocation to the South Island in a few months and want to take my powder/Ammo stock with me if I can, is it okay to chuck it into the truck that takes the rest of our stuff or do I need to sell it and buy more when I get down there?

    Cheers

Mate were not that different down here Cant see any problems with it as long as the moving company is happy to carry the powder or what not.

Take it in the car, none of the stuff that affects those that carry for hire or reward apply to private individuals.

Unless the moving company has a dangerous good license they can't carry ammo and powder or gas bottles you need to take it in your car I have just moved and had load ammo and powder in my car and I only moved
    3 km.

Fast Ways carry it on the mainland so I presume they do up North. I'm not sure about crossing the strait as sometimes a transfer to another carrier is done.

wont deal with fastways anymore especially after they left a rifle on a mates doorstep all day when told not too.

mainfreight is best to deal with for dangerous goods, cheap, efficient and easy to deal with. fill a dangerous goods form and send it

Depnds on volume of stuff. Low Quantity Dangerous Goods (LQDG) can be shipped relatively easily as I understand it (Mainly fastways though) Larger volumes, it is probably better to take it yourself.

If it's RE17 keep hold of it! ADI sell it to the jaffas for double cost. Then buy some more from Wilhelm arms

Probably a quite good road trip actually, might grab a mate who's comin up from Chch and save him the flight back.
