    Sizing die sticking

Having a bit of trouble with the lee f/l die. I think it's maybe just built up a coat of the wax / lube inside it. What can I use to remove the build up? Iso? Kero? Prefer not to have to fully strip it if I can. Hate setting it up again.

I would soak it in petrol. Obviously do it in a ventilated area , away from ignition sources , but your call on that .

Air dry it or blow it out with a compressor , then spray it inside with Brakleen or electrical contact cleaner.

There wont be much wax that will withstand that treatment

Measure over all length. Unscrew top right out so can flush it through. Give the expander ball a light sand, polish to remove corners while it's out, good swirl in petrol and swab out with cotton buds works well. Reassembled back to same overall length and Bobs your Aunties main squeeze...

Well did the acetone and brakleen trick, got all the cases I needed sorted and then for good measure stripped it and sanded / polished as per the Duck. Going to hate setting it up again but at least I get a while before I have to do it again.

if you give the die a wash in solvent reasonably often you wont have to strip it out again

Give it a spray inside with something after using brakeclean to stop it rusting as some of them have water in the mix

Polish the inside to make it work really well like a slick thing.

    Recently did my F/S Dies.
Wash in kerosene, then acetone. Seemed to work ok.
    Then polished the die.

Just a small copper pipe(so it can't get scratched )
Wrapped rags around tied with thin string.
Used the old "silvo" polish and a drill.
Yet to try it but looks a bit more polished inside.
Polished the ball on a buff I had.

Degreaser works a treat, some of that cleaning rag that comes in a roll twisted through it with the spindle out.

Measure the spindle depth/protrusion before you start and you'll have an easier time setting it up again.

To be fair it's had multiple hundred cases through it with zero maintenance so I can't really complain
