Storing powder, can you over fill

Hi Guys,
When storing powder can you over fill your container?

I notice there is always plenty of room in a bought container so was wondering if this was a safety issue incase of expansion or something.

I just topped up my container to the neck with one that was getting well down, will this be ok to store now? Same batch and shoots the same.

I would say the less residual air volume, the better.

No problems here either.

My guess is that differant powders displace differant volumes in the container. The same container size is used for a variety of powders , so there needs to be a safety margin for storage .

It isnt usually recommended that you mix powders from differant batches together , so unless your two containers are from the exact same batch number , I would not pour one into the other .

you blend it together...pour back n forward then any difference is mitigated,fill your container right up and use the wee bit left over up first.

Same batch number just wasn't sure if you need to leave some room in the container or not.

I tip all mine in a bucket (clean bucket) and shake it up to try blend batch to batch
