    Subsonic 308 loads

After reading a recent thread regarding trailboss alternatives for subsonic loads I obtained some titegroup powder and referred to the hodgdon load data for charge weights.

Picked up some 190 sub x projectiles and using sako bras and some WLR primers got the following results.

It was a really windy day so I am pretty happy with the groups at 50m while testing.

Seemed very strange only using 8 grains of powder compared to the usual load I use of 44 grains with 2206h.

I Removed the suppressor for the first couple shots to ensure the projectiles weren’t tumbling and to avoid any baffle strike and she was all good.

Came up 7MOA from my usual load which is zeroed at 100m

Will crack into some 100M plus testing once the wind buggers off.

The Noise and recoil was next to nothing..

Very interesting as I have been looking at trying the same with my .308 and .223.
Out of interest what barrel length was this out of?

A bit more bang is better.

I throw 280gr peregrine out of my 338 federal, ( necked up 308), have successfully taken deer at 228m so far, shoulder shots they ran for about 20m then collapsed.

I shot a Fallow Stag at 37m, 200gn cast sub, bang flop. Hit exactly where I wanted in the shoulder. Shoots 5 into 4 kn at 50m. Tried to drop goats at around 80m, off hand, them on the move, couldn't hit a damn thing. And Ive shot a lot of goats with a Rossi Puma 357mag out to 100m+ offhand with factory iron sights. But 158gn doing around 1800fps. Just hadn't done enough work with the slower heavier slug drop
I know a lot but it seems less every day...

Nice one, good sub groups. My TB stock is very low and I had heard good things about titegroup. Just so happens the local has some I might grab it!
