    Superformance powder

Looking at using this in 260 and a Swede.
Looks to be in the middle of IMR4831 and 7828sc in both burn rate and load density.

Given the lack of data for superformance, would it be reasonable to start out middle of the table in either of the IMR powders mentioned?

    Appreciate your thoughts.

looked at using it awhile back for mates .308...we nearly came to blows over it as I wouldnt load as was asked to as wasnt prepared to take risk when no data was present.....from memory its said to be good in .308 with heavy weight bullets.....so be interested to know how its going to be good in .260.....
where its good its very good but the band of goodness seems to be slim.

Plenty of info online, works real well in my 6.5CM, bit more speed than with 2209 and less pressure signs, tried it in my 270, worked ok, but I just went back to my normal load so I could use the SPF for the 6.5.

    Superformance powder

In my experience it wasn’t overly accurate and speed wasn’t great. I worked between 43.5 to 47.0 over a reasonably long time. With 143.
    Currently using R17.

In my Swede I got 2600 fps with 45 grs of Superformance, haven't tried to go further but there is room to move. I like it in my 270 Win with 57 grs , speed is right up there and accurate in a Tikka with standard length barrel.

Hodgdon website say 40.7 starting and 45.3 max for the 143gr ELD-X in 260.
    Powder isn't listed for 6.5x55.

Seems worth chasing over the w760 I'm currently using so long as it shoots well. IMR 4831 is another powder in looking at

Seems to be mixed reviews on this. Early pressure spikes, inaccuracy and lack of speed and accuracy in Danny's case.
Think I will try some IMR4831...oldie but goodie
