Fuck i don't understand this stuff. How does a 44 fit down a 30 cal barrel? How does a 30 cal shell fit in a 44 cal rifle without rattling all over the place. What use is something that if it can now go faster if it goes slower? Mate this is why I go to the shop and buy the ammo that fits the rifle that hasn't been dicked with.

Think of it as boring out a 44mag to fit a 308 case stretched at the mouth to take 44 bullets.

So I go get my Black and Decker, whack in a big drill bit, reem out the barrel on a perfectly good rifle and then have to fuck around making bullets that fit it when I already had bullets that worked in it before I started fucking around with it. I don't get it.

Theres a .308 donor rifle so its finding something fun to do with it. Was thinking 338 federal but a pistol cal would be better I reckon.

I'm pickin' that Toby is trying to do something a bit unique for the hell of it and I can't see much wrong with that. The .44 Claymore is a damn good bush round and loaded with the new flexitip projectiles would be quite devastating I'm thinking. The round would also be very accurate in a bolt gun, so go hard Toby you are getting there. You could load it down with cast bullets or load up with jacketed Flexitips or similar making for a versatile Tobymuncher. and do it 'cos you wanna, it's more fun that way
