Actually, I apologise to the OP, I have allowed my dislike for TF barrels to hijack a thread asking for help. Bad form.

However, I cant stress enough how much I would try and come to some arrangement with the gunsmith that will allow for you to end up with a Kreiger in a 10 twist, what you wanted, over what you have.

If that doesnt come to be, I wish you all the luck in the world getting it working the way you want.

Not to worry. Through all of the info given and ideas that people have posted on here I believe I have solved the issue. Seating depth and a dodgy set of scales being the main culprits. I can also say that I have been kind of shyed off of TF Barrels for better or worse. Am gonna get a .338 Win Mag down chambered to 7mm Rem Mag and will get a diff gunsmith and Krieger barrel, should eliminate most of the issues I have had to date with the custom .308

I am pleased to say that I have a load with 155 Amax's that consistently groups at 0.30 inches or under at 200 yards. It is gonna have to be a one bullet gun though as it seems to lemon everything else
