yea 223, 6.5x55, 30-30, 8mm for me with 2208 ......... 8mm would be redundant as you have a 308 (unless you want a classic euro chambering)heavier projectiles better 170-195 gr
as micky said if your adding a rifle maybe go 223 so you can target those smaller critters (less of a barrel burner than 22-250)
