What is your prefered powder brand?

Doing some reloading and just curious to see what brand people prefer and why?

    ADI
    Alliant (Reloaders #)
    Hodgdon
    IMR
    Norma
    VitaVouri
    Whinchester

Hodgdon buy powder from manufacturers and re brand it, but why choose Varget over 2208 or do you not?

interested to hear your thoughts, cheers.

You are missing Alliant powders, I stick with ADI usually easiest to source, Tried Varget and 2208 in my F class 6mmBR's not worth using Varget
unless the price is the same.

ADI because it is normally the easiest to get and the nearest to buying local. Some others may get better accuracy but, to be frank, anything that will match my inaccuracy in the field is fine. Mine are basic, lightish sporting firearms so no point going overboard on accuracy. Three shots within 15mm @ 100m is my criteria, not worried about having them hold hands.

ADI - easy to find, relatively easy to get 4kg tubs if you plan ahead, large range.

Their load data isn't that flash, its been (for me at least) extremely conservative.

I have used ADI or its equivalent in a number of rifles, WW has been good to me in pistol cases. I have been looking at WW again in rifles now and happy with results, but would change again if that's what the rifle dictates.

    I'm with you @Marty Henry

This is the smoke cloud from my muzzleloader when I was in the scrub and finishing off a chamois.
My mate took the photo from where he shot from and couldn't believe the way the smoke cloud just kept getting bigger and bigger.

Sensible decision as they're exactly the same powder. The only variations you'll get are due to batch.

I use ADI smokeless and Scheutzen black. As stated above, ADI, IMR and Hodgdon are the same thing.
    More meplat, more better.
