Greetings All,
There was a report in one of the gun mags that may be of use. Years ago Remington sold .308 cases with a small rifle primer pocket for shortening and reforming into a bench rest cartridge. The walls and neck were thinner for easy reforming which increased capacity. Some bright spark loaded them for his .308. In warmer weather at sea level things went well with great velocity and accuracy. Later in the cold mountains not a single round would fire.
GPM.
Of course many cartridges in the -08 case size now use SR primers thoroughly effectively. An entirely different proposition to using pistol primers in a rifle cartridge
