Thread: aquiring small game shooting in N.Z.

Hi. Been in N.Z. for 7 months now and have my Firearms licence and a .22 and a 7.08. I want to continue to shoot small game and Deer as that was my pastime in the U.K. Whats the best and quickest way to get land to shoot on. Is it a case of knocking on land owners doors or are shoots advertised in the press etc. Any advice would be more than welcome. Thanks lads.

Pretty difficult to get access onto private land these days. Some farmers now want to keep possums for themselves because fur is worth quite a bit (I do not blame them) then you have the irresponsible/dishonest twats who go around buggering it up for people who know how to act responsibly and honestly on other peoples properties.
