    .22lr
Sold my semi so I could get a BA and concentrate on accuracy rather than lead in the air.
Just need to get the barrel shortened slightly (for getting in and out of truck) and threaded for suppressor

That sounds good Cambo. Im still looking for a 17hmr but not sure what make of rifle I should go for. Not looking to buy an expensive one but something around the $700 mark thats reliable. When do you start back work ?

Probably a marlin or savage would fit the bill here love2hunt

Marlin 917VS .17 HMR Rifle | Trade Me
Nice stock, comes with suppressor and a scope

    or

SAVAGE 17 HMR - BRAND NEW | Trade Me
Change the synthetic stock (Way too flimsy) no scope, no suppressor

If it was me I would go the Marlin way. And then save up for ammo. At $30/50 rnds for .17hmr I will stick to my .22. $17.00/100 rnds

    Started back on Wed. Sucks!!
    When you back on board?

Why not a 22 magnum? Cheaper to run than a 17 and good on wallys as well.

Or maybe a 223? Price for ammo is similar, range 2 or 3 times further. I did the hmr thing a while ago. In the end I sold it off and got a .243 and updated my .22

Personally for me I found the HMR quite retricting.
