Rabbiting/varminting trips for people visit NZ

    Hi all!

I have just returned to Australia after 8 days on the north Island, one thing I didn't get to do which I really wanted to do was get some sort of varmint popping exercise into the trip. It seemed that there was no little trips visitors could do like a tour or the like. Only thing I saw was a trophy hunt for big stuff which is not really my game. A fishing and hunting store did give me the number of a pig hunting dude and said he might to something like that but could not get on to him so never found out.

Does anyone know if there is such a tour? I the only things I really want to do is to shoot an AR and shoot a suppressed centrefire rifle. Our nanny state across the ditch thinks that these two things if allowed to be in the community would be death and chaos on a major scale and your great little place seems to have some brains about it. I will be coming back hopefully in the not too distant future and would love to have something lined up. When I get back

I am sure that someone on here will be able to hook you up with an opportunity.

What more do we need? If we are above ground and breathing the rest is up to us!
Rule 1: Treat every firearm as loaded
Rule 2: Always point firearms in a safe direction
Rule 3: Load a firearm only when ready to fire
Rule 4: Identify your target beyond all doubt
Rule 5: Check your firing zone
Rule 6: Store firearms and ammunition safely
Rule 7: Avoid alcohol and drugs when handling firearms

The best varmint shooting is in the mainland. Not that funny little offshore island you were in.
    Wirehunt and kiwi39 like this.

Careful that you don't cause some inter island rivalry GM. After all there are more of us and we are not as in bred so clearly we would win the argument.

Hehe as long as the laws are the same mate I could give an obese rats hindquarters! I have been trying for ages to get some change through for us to be able to use suppressors in Australia but so far I I reckon I have Ben given the cold shoulder. I just want to have a shot with one before the loonies get to your gun laws too!

Don't think anyone needs to cause any rivalry, it is more a permanent state, just about a tangible object. It's more about quality than quantity there Rushy, I'd back my IQ to give me a good enough showing in an argument.

Wouldn't be too hard to organise. Just sing out when youre due over next, where youre heading, how much time you have etc. Someone will put their hand up for sure.

I could easily get you some bunny busting around Wanaka, or a bit of hare off the back of the truck action in Southland, and a heap of possum shooting in South Otago. Just need a bit of warning.

I have had a fairly high level of IQ (Impromptu Quickies) over the years as well GM. I am sure the NI would want me on the team

Aye, and when we've run out of quick one liners we can join together and have a crack at the west island.

Now that is where the focus should really be.
