Small game hunting permit and where.

Hi everyone

I just got small game hunting permit to shoot some canada geese at North Canterbury & Arthur’s Pass hunting in the Canterbury region.
But i'm not entirely sure where to shoot it.
Am I allowed only in highlighted area or can I shoot like people with game bird hunting license?(http://www.doc.govt.nz/global/huntin...-map-small.jpg)

Shaded area is probably DOC Open Hunting Permit area. Small Game Permits are usually for a specified area. Check with local office.

The area should be specified on your permit.

I called them earlier today to get permit and they told me I have to find where to hunt for small games on doc website...
I will visit local office sometime this week and check :)

So it looks aS if most Doc areas are not issuing permits to hunt rabbits and hares with a 22 or -17 rimfires or shotgun?
