    1080 Stories in The Bay

    Hey team

Has anyone heard any of the stories circulating the Facebook lately about the use of 1080 in the Pan-Pac forrests? Apparently there was a family caught in the middle of a drop, or in the cloud of a drop? Anyoen know if these stories are based on a true story or not?

I know someone who worked for an outfit that did bait stations for them, so think 1080 is unlikely. He did get sprayed by a plane once but that was something, for needle blight, it was a copper based spray like they use on fruit trees so it is greenish.

I heard from a reputable source that the panpac forests have had a 1080 drop.

Join your local NZDA or pig hunters club. Get the full story rather than rely on half arsed FB tales.
Pretty sure I was sent the OSPRI report via Hastings NZDA. It should be on their website as to what and where. Ahimanawas have just been done. Kaweka is postponed after local consultation. Both areas with repellant.

The range of what we think and do is limited by what we fail to notice. And because we fail to notice that we fail to notice, there is little we can do to change; until we notice how failing to notice shapes our thoughts and deeds

I have also heard from someone who works in the industry that Panpac regularly drop 1080 on their forests. It's not the first time this has happened.
