Your question is highly relevant. Both versions I hyphenated above lead to the same outcome.

A group (mostly anonymous) appear to have been given power of "vito" over recreational hunter access to public land by DoC. How did you utilise your vote for change in recreational hunting control?

    Hey all,
2019 Ballot holders. Are any of you out there that, for whatever reason, can no longer make it to your ballot do you have plans for re allocating/giving up ballot?
I asked DOC Haast and they told me to check the web site daily to see if there are any cancellations.
Anyone had any experience with this??

    Cheers

Hi @Reindeer. I am in the same position and looking for an opportunity for a block as I missed out this year.
Same thing with the cancellations. Just have to keep your eye on the web site.
Anyone out there who needs an extra party member for whatever reason, send me a PM.

Havnt been there but was at hinds tarn last year and got some photos of it

Hunting area looked quite small from watching the group that was there but heard a few shots from them so assuming it was still a good spot.

They where camped on the left had edge

Got Shelter Hollow 5th period, can't wait! Been in there a couple of times now so know what we are in for. Also getting a new rifle built in time for the trip so pretty keen to get amongst it!

No @Reindeer. Haven't had any luck yet. Having said that I have been preoccupied with other stuff over the last couple of months so it hasn't been a priority. Still keen though.

@hotsoup Let us know when your back how you fair in the Zora.
looks like you may get a bit of a wet arse wed-thurs.

Got a spot Dechen Ck in the end, Yay. I see there were a few blocks up for grabs this week on the DOC site that have all been snapped up.
If any of you are Heading to Dechen I would really like to hear how you went and if there is any firewood, left. May need to chuck in a bag of dry wood and a bag of coal.

Half the harm that is done in this world is due to people who want to feel important. They don't mean to do harm-- but the harm does not interest them. Or they do not see it, or they justify it because they are absorbed in the endless struggle to think well of themselves.
