As above I settled on 23.5gr 2206h in adi brass with the 73gr eldm. As I went higher I started experiencing pressure. Drops seem to validate with a velocity of 2850fps on Applied ballistics.

How do the Targex's compare to a ELD-M? More or less explody?

Less. Great penetration. The 74 grain are the same length as his 69 grn but have a heavier core. G1 bc.380. They will stabilise in a 1:9.

Mainly I use Targex 80 grn in my 1:8 but have 260 74 grn loaded which I am very happy to use before I go back to the 80's. I got the 74 grn when the jackets for the 80 grn were unavailable.

I might have to chase up Bryn, just worried I'm not gonna get the penetration with ELDM's at ~3500fps mv

That will perform very differently from a .223 I expect

People seem to use the ELDm's at 22 Creedmoor velocities successfully.

That is true, I picked up a box of 73's the other day and the build is progressing slowly

Anyone else used the Hornady Black 75grn hpbt ammo on deer?
I shot two hinds tonight at 80 yards, both crease shots, both only took two steps and died. A lot of internal damage to lungs. Be keen to hear others thoughts or experiences with this ammo.

    Warts and all.
    Watch to end.
Last shot was 254 yards and allowed for a right /left wind. Centre shoulder hit. 77TMK.

I think I might have nicked that one with the first shot.
