I really don't understand landowners letting it get too that level. It doesn't do them, the land, or the animals any good.
    Unsophisticated... AF!

My father is getting like this. The deer decimate his corn and do a good number on the hay yet he feeds them through the winter. We hunt the farm but he doesn’t want us to kill very many of them. They have become his pets and it’s very irritating. 17 Whitetail crossed the road in front of me after hunting hours behind his pole sheds. It’s a bit ridiculous. It’s money wasted feeding them in the winter and reduced yield of the crops. I have a plan for next year to reduce the herd a little more and he won’t find out about it, I have property that connects to his so I can drag them to my property and tell him I shot them on mine. If the neighbors would kill some deer it would help but it’s all about the antlers in the US.

Last evening. 292 yds. 74 Targex.

The range adjusted red aiming dot doesnt show on the screen. It was half way between the cross hair and the brisket, and thats where the bullet struck.

How do you think the 74's would go pushed hard (3300-3400) in a 9 twist? are they any shorter than a 75 eldm? I have come to the conclusion that mine just doesn't stabilse the 75 eldm's properly

Im using them in a 1:9. Velocity 2,950 and they perform excellently. Very accurate and kill well. Your high velocity might pull their penetration back a bit but I wouldn't have any concerns.
Let me know if you would like a few to try. Ive got plenty here.

Is it possible to push them that fast in a 223? Factory 73gr ELD-Match are only going 2555fps out of our 16 inch.

First deer with the 223. Blue bin for reference. Only a tiny one. Red orphaned fawn. Still a good learning experience for the kids in shooting and guiding someone in across a valley on walkie talkies. 185m with the 73gr ELD-Match.

70 yards with thermal. Cripes it was hard to get a steady off hand shot. It was dead just near to where it disappeared.
