    anti 1080 wellington cadidate

    Does anyone know if any of the Wellington mayoral candidates are apposed to 1080 in the Wellington region?
    Had a look online and couldn't find out anything...

    Wellington city council hardly uses much of the stuff compared to most councils so most probably haven't thought about it much.

    You could email them asking there position on it-the replies would make for interesting reading

    That would more likely be the wellington regional council.
    Better also ask them their view on shooting ranges, wairarapa gun club is being stuffed around right royally by chris laidlaw and the regional council regarding discharging a toxic substance.

    The real question though is are they anti Muslim, pro life and against gay marriage? I mean you have to make sure they are up to the real hard questions. Don't you?

    Marty is right. GWRC are the ones who disperse tonnes of 1080 not to mention destroy river habitat.

    Upcoming 1080 drop in the Rimutaka's - Orongorongo valley will have deer repellent used - assured by DOC.

    Same as the bird 'repellent', on 1080, that killed quite a few Kea and Kiwi in the South Island
