About LinkBacksI have three. 223, 7mm08 and 7mm rem mag in a manners stock.
I like them. 308 is a good choice and far cheaper ammo options for starting out.
As others have mentioned etter to get a bare rifle and a better scope. A weaver classic 3-9x38 is a very good scope for the money and will serve you well. You can generally pick them up reasonably cheap
