Bolt, single shot or semi ?
I'm to far down the 458socom build to back out of it now. All I'm waiting for is the brass and my importer says that should be turning up in May.
What I have is a 30-06 M17 bolt action, 458 barrel blank and a 458socom chamber reamer, go and no-go gauges. Once the brass turns up I'll get on with the machining.
I'd be interested in hearing about your other options. I was originally going to go with a pistol cartridge 45gap 45s&w or something around that size.
450BM is easiest to deal with brass wise
no one who has used one could read this thread because they'd have detached retinas from the shots :D
