Great trip , low cloud buggered 1 day for glassing as we were camping on the tops, watched a group of 9 hinds feeding together in a high saddle at 250 yards for about a hour which was pretty cool , didn’t have my good camera with me unfortunately though , I shot this bull on the last morning , he had about 4 nanny’s with him , thought it was a better animal horn wise but suffered from ground shrinkage a bit , still it was a very rewarding hunt .

Strange to have broomed off so much in that country. Still be 12 and a quarterish? Hard to judge from that angle but they usually get some sweep over 12.

Only 11.5 with big bases though @R93 , it must of had a good fall at some stage as both horns had some decent hunks missing of the ridges and one eye all banged up with old scarring and flap of healed skin over the top of his eye , was disappointed with its size but got has some character and was a great hunt to remember.

There ya go. Looks better than 11.5 to me as well, but not an angle you normally judge from. If he had his ridges and sharper tips intact he would go 12.

I was 10m away from a stonker bull last week. Probably the biggest I have seen in my life on the hoof. No rifle. He had dark black horns and was perfect in every department. I think I may have seen him in the summer but cant be 100% sure. He was breath taking up close.

I’m beginning to think said bull might be living rent free in your head

You know how to get hold of me if you want a doozy. I dont normally guide locals in my good spots but I know I can trust you.
Pay for helo and tucker and we will go get you one someday. Will give me a chance to hunt for once after you get one.
