    Forgot about this one.
Were in a rental in oz for nearly 7 years.
    Never saw or heard anything.
Finally managed to buy a house.
New tenants hated the place for a lot of reasons but reckon it was haunted. What a load of shit says me
Oldest lad say well actually he felt the odd thing there and my daughter who was 3 when we moved in apparently saw small girl upstairs when she was a bit older.
Her other brothers knew about it but I knew nothing.
    Cant have been too bad

Part 7 .... Back to the house

I can't remember exactly how long we parked up for down the port , must have been 3 or 4 hours .
Just talking about what happened and trying to get to grips with what we saw , and my personal mind bending experience with the scratching and being touched etc . Trying to convince myself that all that at least was just my imagination .
The light and banging was obviously not imagined but we kept coming up with way out theories to try and explain it away and make sense of the insensible ......
We finally decided we had to go back . We couldn't just sit in the car all night .
    Or so we thought .
Not quite the way it worked out though....

So we slowly cruise back to the house and stop in the road , plucking up the courage to pull into the driveway .
    All looked/sounded quiet .
So we roll down the drive and stop out front of the ranch slider .
Lights still on in the house , ranch slider open , just as we left it when we made our 'escape' .
So we sit there for a few minutes just watching and listening ..... all quiet

So we open our doors to get out the car , eyes pinned to the house and ranch slider.....

    And the curtain moves ......
Just pulls back a few inches but unmistakable movement.....

Oh shit , did you see that ?

    Yeah

    Wind?

    What wind ?

Then the banging starts again .

Not as violent as before but an obvious message that we weren't welcome back inside .

So we freak and again in the car exiting the area at high speed .....

To be continued one last time ....

The last bit ..... Uninvited passenger ???

So this time we park up on the side of the road up by the over pass coming into greymouth .
And just sat there smoking and talking as before .
Just killing time and discussing what he was going to do . The poor bastard still had to live in the house .
We were both getting exhausted and freezing in the car so folded the seats back and tried to get some sleep , which of course didn't happen as we were still amped up .
I noticed a couple of times a red light passing from the back of the car to the front along the roof lining and just put it down to a reflection of a car tailight going past , and thought nothing of it .
Eventually I needed a leak so got out the car to do my business .
And my first thought was , that's weird , it's warmer out here than in the car , significantly warmer .
So I jump back in the car and mention the temperature difference to my mate , who just shrugs .
But it keeps nagging at me , it makes no sense....
And while I'm stewing over this new development the red light sweeps down the roof lining again .
Uuumm , did a car just drive past mate?
    I dunno he says .
So I tell him what I'm thinking .
That we might have company ....
So we lay there doing our best not to think about it and waiting for the 'reflection' in the roof lining again and this time we are going to make sure a car has gone past .
Waiting , waiting ..... And the light moves across the lining .....
So we sit up and there's no cars to be seen ...

No no no , that can't be right , we were just to slow .It can't be in the car , that's just not possible....
    Is it ?

So for the rest of the night until the sky started to lighten we sat in the car on the side of the road .
Silent , shivering and exhausted .
Doing our best to not to notice the occasional light sweeping across the roof lining or think about what we suspected .

We drive back to the house and gingerly pull in the drive .
Lights still on , door still open .
We exit the car and slowly walk up to the open door and peer in .
Nothing has changed , TV on , everything as we left it , except for a kitchen knife on the table that we are sure we didn't leave there....
So I grab my stuff , tell him that's me done ....my mate grabs the garage keys and torch and I get my bike out the shed and leave .....

Read; 'Where no birds Sing' Kiwi book, Short musings, on this topic ,from hunters and DOC staff. Some describe remarkably-similar stories to peoples experience here. My brother and I both 'interacted' with a ghost in an old farm-house. We were able to identify the 'ghost' from old photo's, after talking to the Land-lord. He told us the person had died in a fire in the house 30yrs before (one of his family). The house had been repaired/modernised after the fire, one half was 20's and the other 50's. The family had never lived in the house after the death, only renting it out. We were among a few people, who had seen the ghost, over the years. There was nothing dark or scary, other than the clarity of the figure, who looked as real as a living person.

He stayed there for another couple of months . He reckoned it settled a bit after that and wasn't that bad again , but stayed at a work mates place the odd night it played up. He then decided he had enough and moved back to nelson .
He thought the first couple of nights I was there and abusing it wound it up and it didn't like me .
His mum and sister stayed a few nights during that time and his sister said a couple of times someone/thing touched her and his mum mysteriously got sick when there and ended up in hospital but the docs didn't know what was wrong . She come right after a few days . Related ? Don't know . Coincidence it happened while she was in the house ? I doubt it .
We ended up with the tape footage , which everyone we knew at the time saw .
Of course they reckoned it we made it up and the light in the roof was a tennis ball on a string and gave us shit . But they also knew a ball on a string doesn't do what that thing was doing...
His new GF in nelson saw the tape and told me she promptly burned it ,so she told me , to stop it following us to Nelson . She was into that sort of thing and thought it was a poltergeist , which
apparently can do that . Sounded a bit far fetched (I know , the whole story sounds like that!!) but after that night in the car I didn't argue .
The story came up again at his birthday party last month , as it does every time we get together on the turps , and he said he still has the tape somewhere and it never got burned... The GF (at that time) just didn't want it played , but for the reason given .
But being on VCR we can't watch it now anyway .
Anyone able to transfer vcr to digital and I might be able to get it and back all this up with pics/screenshots or whatever.....

I need to find out if he has still got the tape anyway before getting to carried away . Unfortunately he lives 400 km away from me but I will try and get hold of him and see if he can find it .
If I can get the tape and find a vcr player locally I guess I should be able to just take some pics of the screen I can post here of the tennis ball (would be nice to digitize it though so I can photoshop the string out of the picture.....)

Never ever worry about trying to back your story up..there will always be a majority that will brand you stupid, proof or no proof.
Don't forget ..the majority of people are just that,,stupid also. The greater public are incapable of knowing what is real and what is not.
Thanks for sharing you and yi mates experience..

You are right there . I was there so I know it was real and at the end of the day just chalk it up as a personal experience . As I mentioned I don't blame anyone who doesn't think it's above board as it does sound far fetched/made up ..... but if I was that good at making this sorta shit up I would be a rich and famous author or movie writer , which alas I am not .
Any one want to call me a fruit loop or nutter that's ok , water off a ducks back.....

I’ve had ‘unusual’ experiences that maybe some would put down to supernatural.

But given I’ve yet to hear of anybody getting murdered etc by a supernatural being I don’t get too perturbed by there possibly being supernatural beings in existence.

    But each to their own...
