Best communication device in thick bush - Garmin Rino?

Hello

Just wondering if anyone has any reviews on the Garmin Rino? I'm heading into the bush with two more "senior" hunting buddies and UFT radios don't work. We already have beacons for emergencies but just want a way to communicate if say one of us got something late and was going to be late back to the hut so the rest of the party doesn't have to worry that one of the oldies lying injured in the bush. Anyone used the Rino and does it work as a communication device in dense, hilly bush if you don't have line of sight? Any other options you've used that are worth investigating?

The Rino’s operate unit-to-unit by UHF, so if your standard 5-watt radios won’t work - they won’t either.

We use Rhino and I find their radio nowhere near as good as a gme 5 watt.
The GME are awesome and work well in the thick Ruahine bush only time they don't is is one is person is in one creek and the other in another creek.
The other feature on the Garmin is you can send a pin of where you are to your buddy but every time you do the unit goes bleep and if you turn the sound off then the radio does work.
