Thread: Blunt ammo

Hi 100PA , What ammo types did you buy? Most over the counter standard softpoints if they are lead exposted tips wil lnot be sharp pointed. The plastic tipped ammo will be. Realy it wont matterm the speed the pills are ate travelling at, they will hit the beast and initiate mushrooming. so the prjectle is even less sharp. In the bad old days there weere alot of round nose and flat point ammo, they killed well.

Do you want sharp ammo so it flies better maybe? The tip doesnt have alot to do with it, Ballistic co effiency does. Alot of the best flying ammo out there is hollow point, but we are about to go into a whole lot of fancy words.

I dont think the points arent worn away, its more the way they are made if they are exposed lead tipped. I remember PMC were quite pointed. It wont matter really, use whats most accurate, the deer will die regardless

If you are worreid about tipps deforning and you want a sharp straight flying pill, got for a long one, like the SST, Amax, Ballistic tips etc.
