Hi All, I’m in the area for a couple weeks, planning a hunt with my 5yo and 16yo, drove passed the red tussock conservation block and thought that looked way better than Wye Creek Queenstown for a hunt with the kids, not that I would, just that that one is 20min from base camp as a reference for where we are.
I called into Doc Te Anau but they had no info on that block other than it likely has deer in it .
Any info would be greatly appreciated, but no doubt we will gain our own intel by foot.
We are based in Queenstown but happy to travel especially for a chance of pigs or Chamois. Not expecting either in Burwood of course.
I've nearly ran over a deer on the road there more than once when driving down to Te Anau late at night
