I hear ya. I tape all my scopes with the self adhesive camo bandage stuff.
Works a treat. No residue and easy to apply and remove.

Does it leave marks when removed? And also does it stick well?
Main reason im getting my scope an suppressor taped is because i have a wood stock w/blued barrel.
And the scope is green which kinda doesnt look right haha

No. Will not leave marks on an alloy scope. You can remove it and reapply it several times.

It will come off after a while from being wet etc but I just use insulation tape to secure where the tape finishes. Has never come off since I done that.
