DO HUNTERS AND TRAPPERS HAVE A LEGITIMATE CLAIM.

That ours was and is the first proffession on earth.

For too long now we have had to play second fiddle to the ladies of the night who have claimed this honour belonged to them.

Surely the first act of commerce was carried out when the grunted words rang out in the Cave. "hey baby you look cold over there in the corner do you want to share my bearskin".

Take for instance the affair of the Garden of Eden. Didnt our creator say to Adam and and Eve when he caught them dilly dallying in his garden "go and get your clothes (skins) on and buggar off out of my garden". The evidence of skins then predates the act.

It is this one act in the Creators garden that the ladies of the night have used to back their claims though there is much more evidence for our own.

Let me hear it from all you Hunters and Trappers. If we can put up sufficient evidence I will compile it all into a new book and call it "The Bear Facts"

Perhaps we could put a court case together against the devils... though I suspect this act would cut off the source of a lot of nooky for our members.

Clearly hunting and trapping has been around for millennia and by far pre dates Roxanne selling her body to the night. Man (and woman) needed sustenance to survive as a species and that came from scavenging the already dead victims of the predators of the time and foraging around for whatever else he could find that was edible. Soon after this stage man learned to become a predator himself by copying the hunting techniques of other predators and then eventually developing crude weapons to aid the hunt. Way after this some smart woman decided to withhold nookie unless her man produced the meat for the table. Eventually a bunch of these girls got to conniving ways that they could make a living out of this activity. It is quite clear your honour that the bear had been skinned long before the man got fleeced.

So long as you can demonstrate that Eves act did not require payment then your onto a winner.
This is because you will find that Adam and Eve were the first certified organic farmers and dedicated Vegans
Afterall, if they weren't they would have had char grill snake for dinner after the deed.

There is a fair amount of speculation in the second part of the above statement.
But it is based on the following evidence.

For years I shot on one of the many Lake at a place called Ohaupo in the Waikato.
Late on the afternoon of the first Sunday of duckshooting we were sitting around having a few drinks waiting for the odd duck to drop in amounst the decoys (The guns had been cleaned and put away prior to this you understand) but we had sentry's out as you do.

One of the batchelors amoung us hunters must have felt the stirring in the loins and he declares that he is going off to visit a quite well known "den of iniquity" in the Local town. We were all comfortably establish in the lodge under the willows by the time we noted the 'Amourous Ones' lights returning down the race a very short time after he left.

He entered the lodge and I could see from his face that he had met with a distasteful experience wherever he had been. One of hunters less tuned to the delicacy of the situation shouted out "how did you get on"

There is only a few girls and there were 27 pairs of gumboots lined up outside the back door he mumbled. It seems on the first sunday of duck shooting it was a case of 'every hand to the pump'

It cracks me up how many people seem to think that was about sex, obviously never read the bible!

Either way using the bible as your argument, I'm afraid gardening/farming beats hunting to the punch but both are a long way before hookers!

can't agree with you GB, man was a scavenger / hunter long before he learned to cultivate.
