    early evening hunt

Took rifle with me to work today. finished job I was doing around 5pm then went for a walk
I knew there were deer in the area I was working and soon spotted a mob of 6 a few paddocks away took a short walk to get a good shot. 3 shots later 3 deer, 1 hind 1 yearling hind and 1 spiker. Had to phone a friend to help clean up. won't need to go for a hunt for a while now ?
I am still on a high never done anything like that before all shot around 150/200 metre using 65x55 with 140sst hand loads.

might have been a bit greedy but farmer doesn't like them eating his grass got told off last year for leaving a hind with a young fawn so this time if it was not me it would be someone else and how often would you get the chance to empty the mag
    Gibo and madmaori like this.

ok could try in the future but what would be the advantage over the sst
from what I saw with the sst they caused utter havoc in the chest cavity with very little meat damage

U definitely a lucky man. 3 deers wow! U are a sniper I have a rifle too. But without scope it a worthless thing. I want to go on a hunt this weekend ( my friend told me about goos place) and I was thinking to buy a new scope . I will have more chances to get a jackpot!
